ABOUT
CHEF CHARLES
Chef Claudius Charles was born in Guyana and spent his childhood in St. Lucia and St. Thomas, where he learned from the best cooks - his grandmother, mother and aunts. Not only did he embrace the art of cooking, but also valued the family traditions of the Caribbean culture. The family would gather every week for Sunday lunch. At age 15, Chef Charles cooked his first Thanksgiving meal for the whole family. Since then, he has been cooking passionately for friends and family, social events, fundraisers, and also volunteers to cook for the Feed the Homeless Project with his church, St. Mark Baptist Church, in Maidens Virginia.
Chef Claudius Charles is the founder and owner of the newly established Charles' Kitchen. Known for his passion and love for cooking, he decided to walk in faith to live his dream of opening a restaurant to share his passion for delicious food with the public. He enjoys serving others and wants to bring Eastern Caribbean family style cuisine to the Richmond West End. His dishes are inspired by regions from the West Indies with fresh ingredients, authentic spices and large portions to satisfy you and your family. Come try a taste of the Caribbean!
